Images can be sized according to pixels, percentages, or Auto Width. Each has its own advantages, giving emails the desired appearance.
Auto Width
Auto Width is the default width when uploading an image. With this setting, the image fills the width of the email client window (desktop) or app (mobile). This allows for a responsive email design.
- When uploading an image, there are four options:
- Auto Width fills the width of the email client window or app
- Full Width fills the width of the email client window or app
- Narrow fills 40% of the width of the email client window or app
- Wide fills 80% of the width of the email client window or app
To have images automatically resize, select the image > Change Size > enter "auto" in the Width and Height fields.
Pixels
With pixels, the image is a fixed size. When viewed on a phone or tablet, the image will be shown in full, but the text in an email may be small and require zooming in.
To size an image using pixels, select the image > Change Size > enter pixel width in Width, and pixel height in Height.
Percentages
With percentages, the image is a percentage of the width of the email client window (desktop) or app (mobile). The image will automatically adjust based on the available width.
To size an image using a percentage, select the image > Change Size > enter a percentage between "1%" and "100%" in the Width field.
