With Canvas, we no longer recommend specific widths and heights for images. In many cases, if the recommendations below are followed, you can use formatting tools in Canvas to get the right look for your assets.
- Company/Organization logos: PNG files with a transparent background and a minimum width of 250px.
- Background images and textures: PNG or JPEG files with a minimum width of 2200px.
- Stock images: Minimum width of 2200px for images that will be full width of the screen. For smaller images, a minimum of 1000px wide will work.
For mobile-responsiveness reasons, we recommend images or graphics have text and important design details in the center 30-50%, with the left and right 25-35% not containing text or important design details.
